How would you describe what you do? Your practice, your craft, your cash machine?
What I do is individualized. I do many things from making photos to being a purveyor of photo-books and zines at Mirrored Society Books. In addition to providing a platform for independent publishers and artists at Print Pomona Art Book Fair. My cash machine would be my day job finding housing for homeless veterans.
Can you tell us where you are from?
Originally I am from the south side of Chicago, however grew up in LA.
What does your morning routine look like?
My morning routine is would looks like a glass of water a shot of orange juice while the coffee is brewing. After the coffee, I go for a walk.
Where do you look for inspiration? A place, a person, a book, an action?
My inspiration comes from various podcasts I am currently listening to. I also have a good friend who inspires me politically. They really make me see and think about certain topics from another point of view.
What work are you most proud of?
I feel the project Squid I am most proud of. Being able to being able to gain access into a strangers environment and photographing them in their own personal space to me is most rewarding. On the other hand knowing that I assisted in being able to house a homeless veteran and know that person will be able to sleep with a real roof over their heads is most rewarding as well.
What has been the biggest challenge on your journey?
The biggest challenge would be time. There is only 24hrs in a day and 8 of those hours are spent at my day job. The other 16 is spent between family and projects.
What's the best advice you've gotten from someone?
Keep creating for yourself and don’t worry about anyone else.

What's the last thing you bought with cash?
A $5 used book from Stories. It was either the book or coffee. I chose the book lol
