Can you tell us where you are from?

Grew up in West Covina, CA

Where do you look for inspiration? A place, a person, a book, an action?

It depends but I love the feeling of nostalgia and visiting family in Mexico City is definitely something I can't get enough of.

What work are you most proud of?

I LOVE La Chamba Press. I started it with my good friend Cristóbal to share our work. Going to local zine fests and meeting so many creative people, my mind was blown. It was amazing we built so many friendships at these fairs. With bigger ones like Printed Matters they'd get pretty expensive going in alone so it was nice to bring the homies up with us when we'd get in. Some of those friends eventually got their own tables and even held panels in the Classroom. It definitely opened doors for more opportunities and when this dude in office took over the presidency shit was crazy so a bunch of us would get together for fundraisers, it was beautiful. Now that I'm in LA I've kinda taken a step back from it all but I love everyone we connected with.

How do you define success? What are the goalposts you look out for?

Success for me is maintaining my happiness. With this virus going around It's gotten me thinking more and I just feel soo grateful to have my family closer. I can't wait to hug my grandma again.

What's the best advice you've gotten from someone?

Don't over think and just go for it. I get in my head a lot.
